Kathy's Famous Strawberry Pie

Kathy Sumko:  Her last food wish

1 baked pie shell (cooled)  or 1 graham cracker pie crust

Mix in medium sauce pan:
1 c sugar
1 1/4 c water
3 T cornstarch
Bring to a boil and then add:
3 oz or 1/4 cup strawberry jello
Return to a boil
Mixture thickens quickly.  Set aside until cool.  Prepare at least 3 cups of fresh strawberries.  Place in pie shell.  Now pour the cooled jello mixture over the strawberries.  Cool again,  Serve with cool whip or whip cream on top.
