1 20 oz can pineapple crushed with juice
1 20 oz can cherry pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
½ cup butter or margarine cut into thin slices
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 pan. Dump pineapple with juice into pan spread evenly. Dump in pie filling and spread evenly. Sprinkle cake mix over cherry layer. Sprinkle nuts on top. Dot with butter. Bake for 50 minutes or until lightly browned.
