My kids get really excited when I make this for dinner and I have yet to find someone who doesn't like it. It came from one of Jennie's coworkers when we lived in Arizona. I'm sure its great with swiss cheese, but I always use mozzarella or provolone, and parmesan sprinkled over olive oil, garlic powder, rosemary and italian seasoning.
1/4 c margarine or butter
3 medium onions (thinkly sliced)
1 Tbsp flour
2 cans beef broth
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c white wine
Shredded or sliced Swiss Cheese
Roast
Hoagie Bread
Saute onion in butter/margarine in a 2 quart sauce pan. Stir in Flour. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Broil hoagie bread with butter and Swiss cheese. Serve with roast on top and soup on the side.
