Snickerdoodles

1/2 cup butter/margarine

1 cup sugar

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp cream of tartar

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup all purpose floour.

Cream butter and sugar for 30 seconds. Add soda and cream of tartar, mix. Add egg and vanilla, mix. Add flour and mix. Cover and chill dough for 1 hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape into balls and roll in 2T sugar and cinnamon. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-11 minutes.
