Fresh Fruit Ice Cream

Grandpa and Grandma Welling

2 quarts fresh or frozen (unsweetened) thawed fruit crushed into small pieces

½ cup sugar added to fruit OR

2 packages of sweetened frozen fruit

Put fruit in ice cream freezer can with

2 cups of sugar

½ pint whipping cream

1 pint half and half

1 can evaporated milk

½ cup orange juice

¼ cup lemon juice

Fill remainder of freezer can to fill line with milk.

(May chill overnight or for a few hours in the refrigerator for best results-usually we cannot wait that long). Freeze, ripen and serve.
