Im sorry, I don't remember where this recipe came from, likely a ward activity? But I do remember being suprised at how good they were, especially for how fast they said they come together.
1 TB yeast dissolved in 1 1/2 c warm water
2 TB sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3 c flour (may need to add more)
Mix and knead 3 minutes. Let dough rest for 10 minutes. Melt a cube of butter and pour into a cookie sheet. Roll dough on floured board and cut into strips using a pizza cutter. Roll strips in butter on pan, so that each side has butter on it. Sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese (or cinnamon sugar mix for a sweet version).
Let rise 10 minutes.
Bake at 375* for 20 minutes.
This can be made early in the day, covered with foil and refrigerated until about an hour before dinner. Let it come to room temp and rise 10 minutes, then bake as directed.
